I'm a Blanket Maker
If you knit, crochet, sew, or know a group that does, you can put your craft to work for your community. Blankets of any style, size, or material are welcome — all that matters is that they're made with care.
- Reach out to us by email or phone (below) to introduce yourself or your group.
- We'll let you know current needs — number of blankets, preferred sizes, and any timing.
- Craft your blankets at your own pace, in your own space.
- Coordinate a drop-off or pickup with our team.
- Know that your work is going directly to someone who needs it.
I'm a Community Organization
If your organization serves people in crisis — whether you're a first-responder team, a shelter, a social services agency, or another community group — we'd love to partner with you to get blankets where they're needed.
- Contact us to tell us about your organization and the populations you serve.
- We'll discuss logistics — how many blankets you typically need, how often, and how they'll be used.
- We'll arrange a reliable supply of handcrafted blankets for your team.
- Distribute blankets to the people you serve with the knowledge that each one was made by a neighbor.
- Share feedback so we can keep improving and meeting your needs.
Support the Corps
Not a maker? Not a first responder? There are still many ways to strengthen our community effort.
Spread the Word
Know a knitter, a Scout troop leader, or a community group that might love to join us? Share our mission and help grow the network.
Donate Supplies
Yarn, fabric, and other crafting materials are always welcome. If you have supplies you'd like to donate to our makers, reach out to coordinate a drop-off.
Help Coordinate
We can always use volunteers to help with logistics — organizing pickups, managing communications, and keeping our maker and partner lists up to date.

Frequently Asked Questions
- What types of blankets do you accept?
- Knit, crocheted, sewn, or fleece tie blankets — all are welcome. We ask that they be clean, free of pet hair, and made with care.
- Is there a minimum size or quantity?
- No minimum quantity — every single blanket counts. For size, lap blankets, throw blankets, and full-size blankets are all useful.
- Can a Girl Scout troop earn a badge through participation?
- Absolutely! We're happy to work with Scout leaders to document community service hours and contributions. Reach out so we can coordinate.
- How quickly do blankets get distributed?
- We work closely with our partner organizations to distribute blankets as quickly as possible based on current need. Most are placed within a few weeks of collection.
